MSN 安裝錯誤 0x80070652

今天接到 user 的電話說 , MSN (Windows Live Messenger) 又強制要升級9.0了
可是它一直出現安裝錯誤, 說是某個安裝正在進行 , 錯誤碼 0x80070652

我拜了股溝大神 , 發現以下方法可行
應該是 Windows Installer 在安裝某個元件(或程式)的時候 , 出現問題

解決方法 : 下載 Windows Installer CleanUp 公用程式

我的經驗是
安裝 Windows Installer CleanUp 時會告訴你哪個元件(或程式)安裝出了問題
(可能有順便修正了, 取消或忽略安裝紀錄之類的, 我不確定 , 訊息沒認真看 Orz)
然後再執行 MSN 安裝就行了, 紀錄一下, 給自己或有需要的人下次參考參考

PS：
個人的經驗是不需要再執行 Windows Installer CleanUp 去移除之前訊息告訴你的元件(或程式)

After downloading and installing it, I used it to remove the WD definitions update
and then ran WD and checked for updates - problem solved. Hope this helps
somebody else.
